Businesses want strong signals, not mixed messages
In its latest quarterly update, the Government has detailed over, £250bn of investment commitments as part of the Industrial Strategy, creating over 45,000 jobs. Still, business leaders are calling for more, with Brian Donaldson, chair at CBI Northern Ireland's Annual Business Breakfast that businesses ambitions to drive growth must be matched by politicians shifting gears to "full throttle economic policy delivery". He added: "It is time for clarity of vision, collaboration with business, and the courage to pull the right policy levers. The CBI is calling for policies that send strong signals – not mixed messages.
