Manufacturers see AI potential but not yet ready operationalise it

Manufacturers are seeing strong early returns on their AI investment, with 87% saying ROI meets or exceeds expectations. Yet 62% of projects remain in pilot or development, and only 37% of organisations feel fully prepared to scale. These are some of the findings of research from Riverbed, which notes that, while the sector is eager to leverage AI to streamline operations, reduce costs and navigate increasingly complex supply chains, it is still working to close the gap between ambition and enterprise-wide AI execution at scale.
