Managing CHD in Primary Care
Monday 07 November
|
A review of coronary heart disease including related policies and guidelines and current evidence based diagnostic and treatment pathways. Aimed at practitioners involved in running CHD clinics and who wish to update their knowledge and skills and demonstrate their continuing competence.

Building an Inclusive Workplace Tuesday 08 November
|
This short virtual workshop for admin staff (60 minutes followed by an optional 30 minutes for further discussion), offers all those attending an opportunity to explore and understand how to contribute to building an inclusive workplace where people are valued and respected.

Immunisation and Injection Training for HCAs (Flu, Pneumococcal and B12) Wednesday 16 November
|
For HCAs that have been working as an HCA for at least 2 years and are working at a level 3. The course includes e-Learning (which the delegate will have 2 weeksโ to complete), a full day webinar and half a day practical. The trainer will cover flu vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine and B12 injections but NOT the nasal flu for children or the shingles vaccine. To find out more and express interest click here.

16-17 November A CPFT 2-day conference offering the opportunity to learn from experts in the field about working with people with relational and emotional difficulties or a formal Personality Disorder diagnosis. The conference is a learning space for all, whether or not you have a clinical background.

An Introduction to the Menopause

An overview of the menopause, from diagnosis and symptoms through to managing a consultation and understanding the treatment options available. This session is aimed at Practice nurses, Assistant Practitioners, & other clinicians advising patients on the menopause.

Did you know that the General Practice Assistant
role has now been added to the ARRS list?
|
Introducing the General Practice Assistant role to provide clinical and administrative support to GPs. Outline for the role based on HEE competency framework. PCNs can immediately begin recruitment through trainer positions with on-the-job training or by accessing the HEE Development and Credentialing Programme which will include support and training from HEE for 9 months of certification. PCNs going through the HEE programme can access backfill for GP mentoring time. Spaces are available on the October GPA Programme. Closing date for applications: 13th October 2022

Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) Funding Available
|
|
|
|
Training Hub have successfully secured funding from HEE to support the employment of Pre-Registered Trainee Pharmacy Technicians in the C&P area since 2020 and are supporting practices and system partners to take on these roles as individual organisations and through cross-sector partnerships. Student placements are an ideal opportunity to recruit Practice Nurses. CPTH urgently need more Practices to take on 2nd and 3rd year Student Nurses. We fully support the students during their time in practice, with a programme of digital learning related to the work in General Practice Nursing, e.g. health checks, diagnosis management of hypertension, CVD, child immunisations and much more. Benefits to your Practice include ยฃ40 per day, a morale boost to your nursing team who will really enjoy sharing their skills and knowledge with the students, plus introduction to future Practice nurses who genuinely enjoy Primary Care.
