2022 Admission
For our first intake in September 2022, we will admit 120 students which will be four forms of entry. The Admissions process for the new school in the first year is a separate process to that coordinated by the Local Authority and applications will be handled directly by ElmWey Learning Trust. In addition, parents should also complete the Local Authority Admission’s Form in September to apply for a place in other Surrey Secondary Schools. This is to ensure if for any reason you are not allocated a place at Heathside Walton-on-Thames, Surrey will allocate you a school place at one of your other preference schools. In subsequent years of operation, Heathside Walton-on Thames’ admissions will be fully within Surrey’s Local Authority admissions system.
When you read the Admissions Policy, you will see that, for the first year of entry, there is a nodal point operating; this is to ensure that the school provides an equal number of places for children living in both Walton and West Molesey. The reason this is necessary is because geographically some children living in Walton live closest to the school so rather than have a policy that prioritises places on distance alone, we have devised a policy to ensure students living in both areas will have equal priority.
