New dates on sale for The Mill exhibition 

You can now book tickets to The Mill exhibition for dates from December 2022 to the end of March 2023 

This self-guided exhibition brings to life the story of this iconic landmark of the industrial revolution.  

With digital and hands-on activities for all ages, you can walk one of the floors where spinning machines whirred, flax flew and barley was processed for beer to brew. 

The Mill exhibition and Shop are open Wednesday to Sunday each week between 10am and 5pm. The Turned Wood Café is open Wednesday to Sunday each week between 9am and 5pm. Closed Monday and Tuesdays.

Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings has won an award 

The Main Mill and Kiln restoration project was announced as joint winner of the Diaphoros Prize at the The Georgian Group’s Architectural Awards. 

The awards celebrate exemplary conservation and restoration projects in the UK and reward those who have shown the vision and commitment to restore Georgian buildings and landscapes.

Site closing early Friday 18 November 2022 

The site, Mill exhibition, Shop and Turned Wood Café will all close at 4pm this Friday for a private event on site.
 
Back to normal on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November.
