Share Your Voice with the Eng Ed team!
What have teachers and pupils gained from Eng Ed resources and Share Your Voice bursaries?
Both teachers and pupils gained a deeper understanding of robotics and the world of engineering. Feedback was gathered through the 'Share Your Voice' bursary opportunity.
St Joseph's took on the Shop-a-bot Challenge. Year 6 pupils said:
"Robots are really useful around the world. I think robots are the future."
"I’ve learned about exploding diagrams and I enjoyed programming the BeeBots."
Gillespie Primary School undertook the Motion in the Ocean Challenge. A Class teacher said:
"I gained a lot of very interesting knowledge about robots that I did not know before... It was really useful to have all the resources at my fingertips and I appreciated examples of completed work so that I could use these as a reference. There were so many other useful resources included, such as design and technology techniques, career information and videos about how to draw exploded diagrams."
We'll keep it coming in 2025-2026 with the next two Challenges dropping in Autumn 2025!
Engineering Educates: Robotics Challenge is brought to you by SEERIH at The University of Manchester and the UK-RAS Network as part of an EPSRC Programme Grant. We are delighted to link teachers with professional researchers and academics working in cutting-edge robotics. A fantastic way to inspire learners to apply curriculum learning.
