World Engineering day is on 4th March 2025!

Many teachers expressed their concerns that all children making the same wooden toy or fabric book cover wasn’t inspiring future innovators or engineers. Our solution to this… Engineering Educates Robotics Challenges!

Why not celebrate by using one of our challenges to host an engineering enrichment event? It could be within your class, with the whole school or beyond – go big or keep it small the choice is yours! And don’t forget to share your experience with us on your preferred social media platform using the hashtag #EngEdChallenge

Start by choosing your challenge from four exciting real-world robotics contexts...
Delivery robots are not the future – they are here now! Explore and design delivery robots.
95% of our oceans remain unexplored. Make mechanisms inspired by nature!
Rehab robots are transforming patient recovery. Create robots concepts for patients.
Wonder what's inside the ancient pyramids? Design robots to navigate hard-to-reach places.
Teachers say "The lesson plans were very detailed which made the sessions easy to deliver." - Gillespie Primary School, London

Each Challenge provides teachers with:

Pupils say "The design specification sheet to really help[ed] me add detail to my design sketch." - Gillespie Primary School, London

And each Challenge gives pupils opportunities to:

  • Learn through contemporary, real-world contexts
  • Enhance teamworking
  • Value creativity & imagination
  • Get making in lots of different ways!
Need support when using the engineering design cycle?

The Engineering Educates Toolkit provides resources to build confidence in designing, making and evaluating ideas and products. Use the Toolkit to help your learners think like engineers this World Engineering Day.
