These events run until 23rd December, with our '12 Days of Christmas' culminating in a ticketed 'Breakfast with Santa' event on Christmas Eve - which is now sold out.

The Christmas opening times for the Lookout are also on the poster. Please be advised that the coffee shop will be closed on Sunday 24th December for the ‘Breakfast with Santa’ event.

In October, we were delighted to welcome our next group of Futures Week participants to the airport. Designed to inspire young people (aged 15-18 years) to consider a career in aviation, our biannual event gives fifteen students the opportunity to explore the many different roles available within the industry.

During the week, participants experienced a variety of hands-on activities and immersive visits, as well as going behind the scenes with many of our departments across the airport. They met with professionals from our thriving business community, such as Bombardier, EFG Flying School and Castle Air, and listened to talks from inspirational guests, including the Royal Aeronautical Society & Royal Air Force.

Our next Futures Week will run from 12th - 16th February 2024, and applications are now open.  Applications must be completed by the individual interested in participating via our website here.

We’re proud to sponsor the Biggin Hill Christmas lights again this year. The switch-on event, which included a Christmas market, Santa’s grotto and performances from local school choirs, took place at the New Life Church in November.

Our mascots, Captains Mary & Merlin, were delighted to be this year’s special guests and share the festive magic by switching on the lights for our local community. They spread some extra cheer by handing out goodies, posing for photographs and dancing along to some Christmas classics.

We recently celebrated one year of the mascots and, over this time, they have attended numerous events and brought laughter, unity and an unmistakable charm to our community. We look forward to broadening their outreach next year!
