Flu and COVID-19 vaccination update
Anyone eligible for flu and COVID-19 vaccinations can book an appointment or walk-in for their vaccinations.
Please feel free to localise and pull out details of up and coming pop-ups/local sessions from the walk-in page for your boroughs.
Changes to primary care governance at NHS NW London
Following a programme of organisation redesign and management cost reduction, a number of changes are taking place to how place based and central programme teams work.
Most primary care contracting discussions and decisions will now take place at North West London level. There will no longer be local primary care teams as there have been previously.
The Borough Primary Care Executive Groups (BPCEGs) will no longer meet and a new North West London group will be established. It is planned these meetings will be held in-public, with an opportunity to observe the discussions and see the relevant papers.
Recognising that BPCEG meetings have been positive spaces to discuss local primary care matters, we will ensure that regular residents’ forums take place in each of our boroughs, in line with our involvement strategy. We expect meetings would take place at least quarterly, with residents co-designing the agenda and meetings being open to anyone who wishes to attend.
There are over 350 different career options within the NHS, and health and social care more generally. With these many options there is something for everyone, including options across mental health, primary care and social work.
A North West London Health and Social Care Skills Academy NHS and Care Work Insight day gives you the opportunity to learn more about the different options, with the chance to talk to those who work in the NHS. There are a range of talks taking place.
The event takes place 10am – 2pm on 18 October 2024 at Morley College London, North Kensington Centre for Skills on Wornington Road, W10 5QQ. The venue is a short 10-minute walk from Westbourne Park tube station. Register your attendance here.

10 October is World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day gives us an opportunity reflect on our mental wellbeing, and that of our friends and family.
This year’s this is mental health in the workplace.
The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities.
