Windows 10 will be end of life on 14 October 2025. Subsequently support, including security updates, will no longer be available after this date. This presents a security risk to your data and systems, and therefore the upgrade of your devices to Windows 11 is mandatory.
NHS North West London IT are planning to begin upgrade of primary care laptops from the beginning of June. We will remotely make a configuration change to your laptop that allows/forces it to download the Windows 11 upgrade from Microsoft directly to your device.
Go-live of new protein electrophoresis equipment in Immunology (Hounslow)
The Immunology Laboratory used by Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (impacts patients in Hounslow) has changed to a new supplier for protein electrophoresis and Bence Jones protein testing. Although results between the new and old systems are broadly comparable, verification has identified that discrepancies can occur occasionally, as would be expected between different systems. London Secure Data Environment
The London Secure Data Environment (SDE) provides secure access to data and a range of services to accelerate research and innovation leading to improved patient care. Find out more information about the programme, including details of the public deliberation that has taken place and the intended benefits.
London SDE has two key components – London Data Service (LDS) and London Analytics Platform (LAP). A single sign-up Data Sharing Agreement covering both components is now available for practices to review and sign via the Data Controller Console (DCC).
