NW London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC)

The North West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC) will welcome its first patients on the 4 December.

The EOC will open with an initial operating capacity of three theatres, increasing to five theatres in February 2024. The centre will initially admit patients from Chelsea and Westminster Foundation Trust, Imperial College Healthcare Trust, and London North West University Healthcare Trust. Patients from The Hillingdon Hospitals Trust will be admitted as the EOC moves to full five-theatre capacity in February 2024.

The centre is based at Central Middlesex Hospital and will focus on ‘high volume, low complexity’ bone and joint procedures. This means patients who are accepted for the EOC will have been pre-operatively assessed as anaesthetically less complex, that is: ASA grades 1 and 2.

Full EOC details, including information and advice for patients is published on the LNWH website.
