July at Amperative

Inside the Amperative studio

We've had thousands of visitors to the studio this month, unfortunately they were in the form of 6 legged critters. 🐜

Apart from that unexpected invasion, we've had a fab July.

Here is a glimpse into what's been happening in the Amperative studio this month. Enjoy some sneak peeks at projects, discover what’s been sparking our creativity, and some interesting snippets that caught our attention.

I hope you enjoy it,

Emily

What we've been enjoying this month

Free Rice is an educational trivia game that makes a difference for people around the world. Every right answer raises 10 grains of rice for the World Food Programme to support its work changing lives around the world.

We are all guilty of having at least 10 tabs open at once (quite often triple that) so we're big advocates of Toby, the tab organiser.

Project Spotlight

This month, we worked with the amazing team at Gray Healthcare to produce an animation. This is the beautiful story of Ben and how his life drastically changed for the better when he met the Gray Healthcare team.

Suzi shared the story of Changing Lives Charity and how they felt overwhelmed with the task ahead of them and how we came alongside them.

Can you remember a time that you didn’t feel overwhelmed?

I love being able to solve problems, if I’m honest, it’s what I do a lot of the time so when we started working with Changing Lives Charity (CLC), I knew we could help them find some clarity in the overwhelm.

Bringing Clarity
When the CLC team first came in, they overflowed with information about what they wanted to do, felt like they needed to do, what their constraints were, and their dreams for the organisation. As with most charities, money was limited and needed to be spent wisely. Working together, we focussed on:

“What does your charity actually need?

For Changing Lives Charity it was rebranding. Getting that right meant that when we designed all the elements for the shop, signage, digital communication and branded elements, we could work out how to do that in the most cost-effective way.

Creating a manageable realistic plan
We provided an honest and genuine soundboard for them, where we helped advise on the next steps. We then put together a plan of action.

They didn’t have much capacity to help implement the brand rollout, so we made sure it was a manageable, realistic plan with us taking on board some project management tasks where possible. It was a plan they could work to, and we've held them accountable throughout our journey together.

Launch
They just launched their new brand, signage, designs, tone of voice, website, and vision. We were so honoured to be at the launch supporting them, shouting out about all the amazing work they do and showing off a brand that truly reflects who they are. On the journey together, I am chuffed with the outcome of replacing overwhelm with clarity.

Celebrating in style

Kim and Jack took a trip to Birmingham to attend the United Christian Broadcasters 30th anniversary. It was great to see their impact over the past 30 years and all the people that make it happen.

With summer upon us and 'The Weather' being our top conversation topic, WillyWeather is one of the studio's favourite weather apps to help us stop guessing when's the perfect time for a BBQ.
