It’s hard to believe it was 3 years ago that we launched our new brand, Amperative, following a merge of Worthers and Hullo Creative. We have evolved that brand this year, however recently we were asked ‘what do you do differently now since this merge?’
It was a great question and got me thinking, so whilst not a full list, here are a few of my observations
A large growth in our UX work
Bringing together years of experience in both design and development capability provided the environment to accelerate our UX and UI offerings. We created a new UX lead role and this team has seen impressive growth. We have had the great privilege of applying our skills and expertise in this area to some amazing projects and the feedback we have received has been incredibly positive and encouraging. Broader and more complete product offerings
By combining the best of both worlds, we have been able to provide a more complete end to end product covering discovery and consultancy, through to brand, UX, design and development. This worked really well when we helped clients turn their vision into a successful highly rated mobile app.
Improved support for our clients
Our team has grown over the last 3 years and as a result, we have managed to strengthen our service areas so that we can provide better support and confidence to our clients. Our project management, sales, support and capability have improved and we’ve adapted our processes so that projects aren’t dependent on one person but involve multiple team members so we are able to cover holiday periods as well as unplanned events, like sickness.
Shared leadership
Our leadership team has worked hard at investing in relationships so that we can genuinely support each other but also provide room for each other's strengths to shine. This in turn has helped to better serve the wider team and develop our shared culture of valuing people.
Healthy team
One of our early concerns was how the team would come together and integrate. To help with this we had a team day, invested in tools to understand each other better and worked on our shared values. We also encouraged eating together at lunch and reconfigured our office (before moving to a new purpose-built office). All to say, it really feels like one team and we’ve never looked back.
I’m looking forward to seeing what the next few years bring!
