Spotlight on AIRWAVE
Interested in the relationship between occupational exposures and health outcomes over time? Take a look at AIRWAVE.

The most recent Longitudinal Population Study (LPS) to share its data via UK LLC, AIRWAVE was established to evaluate possible long-term health risks associated with police officers’ use of a digital communication system. AIRWAVE has monitored both cancer and non-cancer health outcomes in this occupational group for over 20 years. The study supports research into a wide range of topics affecting this group, including mental health, cognition, nutrition, and sickness absence.

More information about the characteristics of AIRWAVE, and all the UK LLC’s partner LPS, is on Guidebook.
Research focus
Anyone who has ever worked with data collected at different times or using different methods, will know what a challenge it is to understand and recode variables so they can be analysed together.

UK LLC Research Manager, Rachel Calkin, has been working on harmonising some of the demographic data shared by our partner LPS.

Our new, harmonised, datasets provide researchers with fully documented demographic variables that are consistent across LPS.

Read more about the benefits of harmonised variables.
