Togetherness: the new name for the Solihull Approach

The Solihull Approach has rebranded as Togetherness.

The updated service brings together professional training and the online learning hub. The website provides a clear digital home for the team’s ambition: to improve emotional health worldwide by making evidence-based education available to everyone.

Many families face financial and relationship challenges, especially in the festive period. Online courses like Understanding your child: from toddler to teenager and Understanding your relationships help parents to navigate these tricky situations.

Updates from Family Hubs and our partners

Free premium access to EasyPeasy for Bristol families

Bristol City Council is offering families free premium access to EasyPeasy, a personalised parenting app for children 0 to 5 years old.

EasyPeasy helps parents turn everyday moments into playful, enriching experiences that support early development using materials already available at home. The app makes daily parenting challenges easier and more fun, from breakfast to bedtime.

Parents in Bristol can download the app and access these resources completely free. The offer gives families the tools to give their child the best start in life.

New KS2 resources to help schools reduce parental conflict

We partnered with the Bespoke Education Project, and six local primary schools, to create free resources for a whole-school approach to reducing harmful inter-parental conflict.

The resources include:
  • a KS2 lesson plan
  • group and individual intervention outlines
  • conversation starters for staff to use with parents
  • slide packs for whole-school awareness
Feedback:
  • “High quality and easy to use.”
  • “The one-page lesson plan is brilliant.”
  • “I feel much more confident now.”

Infant Feeding Celebration Week launches

This week is the first Infant Feeding Celebration Week, a new campaign recognising the many people who support families with infant feeding.

With the theme ‘It Takes a Village’, the week highlights the vital role of health professionals, volunteers, family and friends. It celebrates every feeding journey and those who make a difference.

The campaign is delivered in partnership with Bristol City, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) councils and Barnardo’s.
