Scaffolding has now been installed to the front of John Cozens House and some sections to the front of Haviland House. A large proportion of scaffolding to the rear of Hailand House has also been completed where the play group is based.
More scaffolding is due to be built outside of Haviland House in the coming weeks which will allow our contractors to carry out detailed surveys of the walkways, balconies, and the outside of the buildings. These works will take place Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm each week which might mean some noise disturbance.
Scaffolding will continue to be installed on Haviland House in September, this will allow us to carry out detailed surveys of walkways, balconies, and the exterior envelope of the buildings. More works to install scaffolding is planned for John Cozens House, Langton House and Charleton House over the next three months.
Please note that works will be taking place Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm each week which might mean some noise disturbance.
It’s important that children and adults do not climb onto the scaffold as these structures can be very dangerous locations for untrained people.
If you see any person on the scaffolding, please report the matter urgently to the contractor’s compound opposite Tyndall House or phone the police immediately.
If you live in Haviland House your balcony will be locked off for health and safety reasons whilst the scaffolding is in place and surveys are carried out.
We will let you know when you will be able to use your balcony again. To ensure that the survey can be carried out safely, we kindly ask that residents remove any items from their balconies before work begins.
