Our Ampa expansion – the next step on our journey

It’s just over a year since we officially announced our exciting House of Brands strategy. Since then, we’ve created our group, Ampa; established new hubs; and welcomed talented people and new clients.

The recent arrival of global cyber security & data protection firm CSS Assure was the first non-legal business to join our family of brands since Ampa launched. As part of our investment into existing brands, we’ve seen 23 partner hires so far this year and tripled the size of our London team (acquiring into Lime Solicitors, the London-based team and associated book of work from Hull-based Hudgells Solicitors).

The next phase:

We have now reached another pivotal moment in our strategy. As we said back in May - part of our ongoing commitment to unlock potential and drive sustainable and profitable growth opportunities across the markets in which our brands operate - we are further empowering them as standalone LLPs.

What this means...

and introducing Reddens

Corclaim is an established, trusted name and has enjoyed successful growth – so much so that by focusing on uninsured loss recovery (ULR) and Costs, Corclaim will be the standout specialist for its clients and target markets.
Our debt and asset recovery services will be moving to our new brand, Reddens. This allows Reddens to become FCA-regulated, extending its services to include those of a debt collection agency (DCA) and broaden its client reach to include other law firms (inside and outside of Ampa).
As a separate LLP, Lime Solicitors will be able to further stand out as a ‘consumer champion’ and continue its planned extension of work-types and work-generation.
Marrons Planning has already extended its impressive offering to include urban design and socio-economic services such as market intelligence, population modelling, and impact assessments. Now the team’s planning to further enhance its provision with heritage-related services. As a separate LLP, the team will continue to build on their extensive services, while also expanding their geographic footprint with new talent and exploring potential acquisitions to join the Marrons Planning brand in future.
Shakespeare Martineau remains as focused as ever on long-term growth. We have made no secret of the fact that Sarah has been ‘on the dancefloor’, proactively seeking merger, acquisition, team, and lateral recruitment opportunities. Look out for more exciting updates next year!

A new brand to unlock opportunities...

introducing Coadax

We’re also excited to be able to share news with you of our first completely new brand and entity within Ampa: Coadax – a strategic advisory consultancy.

Extending our business services, Coadax enables us to present clients with a joined-up approach across Ampa’s services: a cohesive team and one-stop-solution.
Leading some client and business development activities with a strategic advisory service demonstrates a rounded capability that adds value to a client’s business. As part of this exciting new area, we welcome Mukesh Bulsara, who will join the membership (once SRA approval is received) as our first Coadax partner. Look out for the new brand and website in the New Year.

It doesn't stop there!

announcing Ampa Enterprises

We’ve always said we are in this together and we're in it for the long-term. Never has that been more true.

That’s why, to create scale across our group and to allow for innovation and efficiency, in time we plan to create ‘Ampa Enterprises’ as the new home for our business operations teams.

The business operations teams will continue to deliver market-leading capabilities in their respective fields of expertise, while being enabled to focus their efforts on any one of the group’s brands, wherever needed, to give us a real competitive advantage.
Just like with the other developments covered above, no redundancies are planned as part of this evolution – rather, our people will be able to maximise their career potential and will have greater support to do so.

We will still have individuals with roles dedicated to certain brands, whether as a business partner or a ring-fenced resource, but they will benefit from also working alongside colleagues of similar disciplines or fields of expertise.

We expect this to be formally in place sometime in early 2023, but will start referring to our collective business operations team as Ampa Enterprises.

Looking to the future

Our group’s growth is happening at pace – and each one of us is part of a group of brands who share similar values, culture and purpose, with unlimited ambitions for growth.

We look forward to the future and bringing you more good news as our story continues to unfold in the coming weeks and months.

Of course, we understand that you’ll have questions. Read our FAQs to find out more. We will also be hosting a live Q&A in January, so if your question isn’t answered in the FAQs, submit it here for our Main Board to answer during the update.
