BOOK NOW: Shape mental health services for the future

For most people with severe mental illness, the diagnosed problem isn’t all they need or want help with. They need mental health services that go beyond symptoms and illnesses; integrated services that see a person rather than a diagnosis and that work together to promote all-around wellbeing.

At Cheshire and Wirral Community Wellbeing Alliance, we have joined together to create a new way of working that provides holistic, person centred care for people with severe mental illness, so that people with long term needs, or specific mental health concerns will receive faster access to higher quality care.

Tackling inequalities

One of the top priorities for the Alliance is improving access to wider practical support in the community to tackle issues which contribute to poor mental health including loneliness, support with welfare issues and improving physical health and fitness.
The Alliance has funded 14 additional community projects, in Cheshire and Wirral, like JourneyMEN (pictured above) to really get to the root of some of the issues that contribute to poor mental health. Find out more here. We will be sharing further details of these projects in a series of upcoming videos so watch this space.
