Free support for social enterprises
OSEP's eight-month programme will help entrepreneurs build businesses that support healthy, connected communities, reduce social isolation and create inclusive employment opportunities. This expanded programme builds on the success of a recent pilot, which supported 33 local entrepreneurs and led to the creation of seven new community interest companies.
Participants in the programme will benefit from a wide range of free advice and support, including one-to-one mentoring, tailored guidance and strategic support, training and workshops, and facilitated peer groups.

£150m Capital Grants offer returns to help farmers boost profitsThousands of farmers will benefit from £150 million in new funding as the government opens a new round of its flagship Capital Grants offer, supporting sustainable food production and environmental improvement. The offer funds a wide range of on-farm projects – from tree planting and flood prevention to improved slurry storage and water filtration – helping farmers boost profitability while protecting the environment. The following funding limits apply:
- £25,000 maximum for each of the following three groups: water quality, air quality and natural flood management.
- £35,000 maximum for the group covering boundaries, trees and orchards.

Delivered by approved security reviewers, the service helps businesses identify and manage key security risks, including those linked to state threats, and helps them integrate protective security into their broader business strategies. A Security Review provides a high-level assessment of an organisation’s security posture, covering:

Free service for local landlords South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils have helped local landlords find tenants through a long-standing service, White Horse Lettings.The councils create around 50 new tenancies each year and have helped over 1,000 people find affordable homes locally so far. Our aim is to increase the number of landlords we work with and help more people find affordable homes across South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse. White Horse Lettings provides its services free of charge, which means that the landlord will retain 100 per cent of the rental income.Landlords and tenants have shared their experiences with the service - see our website (South / Vale) and our press release (South / Vale) for details. OKA relocates headquarters to Milton ParkBritish interiors brand OKA has relocated its headquarters to Milton Park, marking a return to the innovation campus where its growth journey began in 2009. The company stayed at Milton Park until 2021, and now four years later, the new 152 Brook Drive headquarters has brought together OKA’s support functions under one roof. The new single-storey, open-plan space has created a more collaborative and agile way of working for the team.
