Welcome to our latest roundup of news!

Our new video

Ta da! We are pleased to present the KeyRing video.

This video is fully co-produced and co-directed alongside people who receive support from KeyRing, (Members). Because who better to tell you about KeyRing?

Members wanted to tell us about the friendships they had made, the skills that they shared and the things that they had achieved. So we hired a videographer, invited Members to meet us at a local café and then went from there. There were no scripts, just a list of ideas that Members wanted us to explore with the video stars.

Our stars shared their lives and proudest moments with us. They welcomed us into their homes and told us about how things had changed. They inspired us and challenged us.

Now we want to share this with you. Members are front and centre in this video but don’t doubt they have a huge network behind them, including from our amazing KeyRing team whose work behind the cameras made these stories a possibility.

Latest KeyRing News

The KeyRing News is our quarterly newsletter where the people we support (Members) can share their stories and photos.

The latest edition has Members getting creative, finding the right housing and finding fulfilling work.

For the first time the audio version has been recorded by one of our Members Christopher. You can also read his story on the front page.

Digital Connections

As part of our on Digital Connections work we have been sharing Echo Shows, kindly donated to us by AbilityNet. They have been sent to all of our Hub Leads and Digital Champions, as well as to KeyRing Members who would benefit from them.

Nationally, Members are being offered the opportunity to take part in digital skill sessions run by AbilityNet in partnership with BT. Teams can sign up to three workshops that will take place in local hubs. Members attending the digital skills sessions without devices will be given them.

Our presence on social media

Like many of our partners and organisations that inspire us, we have decided to pause all activity on X. Our strategy is built around connection and community and we aim for a welcoming world.

We feel that X is not the right place for us to continue building our online connections because of misinformation and a lack of adequate regulation.

You can still find us on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Building People Power

In September we were thrilled to be part of this Social Care Future event. We are committed to a brighter social care future and inspiring others to think beyond current support options. The Building People Power event helped us think about how we can meaningfully involve the people we support in that journey. There is still much more work to be done. For our part we are working with some motivational people to build confidence and connection.
