Southwark Disability Hub launch

Last month we had the official launch of the Southwark Disability Hub. The Hub is a new project based in the Southwark Disability Centre. It can offer information and guidance to disabled people in Southwark and share information about groups and meetups. We also coordinate Targeted Short Breaks, which are activities for disabled children and young people.

We continue to support people through KeyRing networks as well.

We were pleased to welcome so many local organisations and council representatives to our launch event, where we were able to explain a bit more about the service, answer questions and connect. A special thank you to Cllr Akoto for coming to speak.

Help When You Need It in Bristol

Help When You Need It is a service for people in Bristol who have a learning disability or who are neurodivergent and who don't get support from any other providers.

People can get support for up to 3 months with things like skill building, budgeting, and health and wellbeing, but each person's plan will be built around them and their goals.

People can refer themselves, or ask someone who knows them to make a referral on their behalf.

We now cover the whole of the City of Bristol. Support is free and there is no financial assessment.

Our Member Voice work

Our latest Member Voice sessions have been looking at our Member Satisfaction Survey, a tool we use to find out how people feel about their support.

Members told us what they thought about the questions we use and came up with lots of ideas we would never have thought of. Our new version will be easier to do and give us really useful information.

You can hear more Member voices in our short video on the theme of Connection:
That's all for this time. If you'd like to know more about any of our work just hit reply or email charlie.crabtree@keyring.org
